COROPHEN is a two component modified Phenolic resin cement used for setting acid resistant brick / tile. The advantage of this product is that it is relatively inexpensive and can withstand both acidic and alkaline environments.
COROPHEN is used extensively as a pointing material in various areas like floors, drains, tank farms, foundations, dados and a host of other places. COROPHEN is used in industries like Steel, Dyes and Pigments, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer, Sulphuric and Phosphoric Acid plants etc.
The prepared mortar is applied on the back and sides of the brick / tile and pressed firmly on the surface so that the bedding is uniform. In case of pointing only, the mortar is filled to the entire depth up to which the jointing material is racked out. The mixing ratio is 3:1 (Powder:Liquid)
